The banana berry split is a great nutritional healthy breakfast during summer and fun for both kids and adults. The recipe includes creamy, delicious yogurt, a whole banana, four types of berries, chopped pecans and a drizzle of honey. There are many ways to customize this recipe! Enjoy a banana split for breakfast and feel really good about it! “My mom’s favorite breakfast!”

Banana Berry Split

INGREDIENTS

1 container of vanilla bean yogurt (we like Yulu yogurt) or 1/2 cup cottage cheese or 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
1 banana split lengthwise
1/8 cup of blueberries
1/8 cup of blackberries
1/8 cup of raspberries
1 whole strawberry split into fourths
2 Tbsp of chopped pecans, granola, or nuts (almonds, peanuts or cashews)
Honey or strwberry preserves for drizzling (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Assemble banana split by dividing yogurt into 3 small containers (try using decorative paper cups)
  2. Top each container with berries
  3. Place containers in a row, surround with banana halves and strawberries
  4. Sprinkle with pecans and drizzle with honey
  5. Enjoy
