Overview

In the wake of the Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), our way of life and the world came to a standstill.  Since then the COVID-19 virus has continued to mutate into viruses;  ie: Delta, Omicron and currently, the highly contagious BA.4 and BA.5 Omicron sub variants that account for most of the reported cases during the summer of 2022.

SONA Technology, Science of Natural Air, mimics nature’s way of cleaning the air we breathe.  The SONA line of products are a powerful, effective, robust system capable of killing and removing bacteria, mold, viruses and volatile organic compounds, e.g. odors and harmful pollutants.  Air ionization is a safe and efficient way of cleaning and purifying indoor air in a variety of settings, no matter how large or small.

How do I get started?

Contact us today, (319) 435-8851, for more information and let us help walk you through the process of turning the air in your home or business into healthy, fresh clean air free from VOC contaminates, germs, viruses, dust, pollen and other air pollutants.

How does air ionization work?

An air ionizer produces negative ions (Anion) that are negatively charged, thus becoming extremely unstable by nature. Oxygen molecule by nature have eight electrons. Anion has nine or ten. Since the molecule is unstable, as soon as it collides with other chemical bonds such as cigarette odor molecules, it gives away the extra electron and breaks down the chemical bond of the odor molecule, and converts them into H2O and CO2. This process breaks down viruses, mildew, and odors in the air forming bipolar clusters that are sucked up into your return vent – trapping the contaminants in your filter.

Why is this unit more expensive than others advertised with similar functionality?

SONA is working with global companies, like Samsung, and in some of the harshest conditions. The SONA technology is a powerful system that can clean every single corner of your home and is built to last. The SONA line of products is backed by an industry-leading 10-year warranty. The Ducty HS (cell unit – stand alone) and Ducty QS (cell unit – stand alone) are ideal for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

Can the SONA Technology be used in small spaces, apartments and residential homes?

YES, The SONA HS and QS are stand-alone cell units. The SONA HS unit is primarily used in residential settings and when installed can be modified by a certified technician to the appropriate settings.

Do I need the control panel?

No. The Ducty HS and QS are standalone cell units. A control panel is not needed or required.

The Ducty HC and QC are quad cell units used in larger spaces and work with the control panel. If you would like to learn more about the Ducty HC and Ducty QC please contact us for a free consultation.

How do I know if the ionizer is working?

What does the 10-year warranty cover?

The manufacturer offers a 10-year warranty on parts, malfunction of the SONA HS and QS products. For the 10-year warranty to be valid, the SONA cell unit must be installed by a licensed HVAC provider or a certified technician. SONA unit cells are not covered and will need to be purchased separately and annually.

Do I need the 10-year warranty?

Why Not? It’s FREE – No one else offers it in the industry. And with the purchase of a maintenance contract, cell replacement is covered and SONA will provide you with a lifetime warranty. Unprecedented in this day and age but very real. SONA believes so strongly in their unit that they will give you a lifetime warranty with a purchased maintenance contract. This contract will keep your unit running smoothly and efficiently for many years to come.

Since the manufacturer gives a 10-year warranty why do I need to purchase a maintenance agreement as well?

The manufacturer warranty requires the SONA cells to be replaced every 12 months, and the unit serviced at the same time for the warranty to be in effect. Healthy Living-Today can/will provide this service through partnerships with a licensed subcontractor to replace the cells and service the unit – disposing of the old cells correctly without air-polluting emissions.

Does installing a SONA QS or HS unit interfere with the HVAC system?

No! There is no modification of the actual HVAC system. Only a small hole is cut in your ductwork 4”x 7” when installing the Ducty HS and 7”x 9” when installing the Ducty QS. The manufacturer/owner will sign any liability documents. If you move or no longer wish to have the unit installed, a service technician can uninstall the unit and patch the hole in the ductwork. HVAC companies do this all the time.

What do I need to do to get it?

  • Purchase a SONA Ducty HS or QS that meets the requirements for your home or business.
  • Purchase a Maintenance Contract to keep your unit running smoothly and worry free for many, many years.
  • Enjoy a lifetime of clean, fresh air in your home or business free from viruses, germs, pollen, dust,  VOC’s and other contaminants.
